Helping baby to like milk
My son is finally able to have milk by mouth. No more gtube!!! Well, i am giving him one ounce in a different straw cup from his water (which he loves). He hates milk. So do i tbh. His formula or cows milk. I do want him on goats milk but idk if we can do it financially. At least a better quality cows milk then i guess. Anyone changed the flavor just enough for their l/o to take? Oh he will be 1 in less than a wk. he has tried formula and was fine. Not sure why he won’t take it.

Bottle weaning
My baby is 17 months and is refusing to drink his milk from the straw cup even though he has been using a straw cup for water since he was 12 months. I try to offer the milk in the straw cup with meals but sometimes he crys until he gets the bottle and will not eat his food until he gets in. Any ideas??

13 month old food refusal
She’s been refusing meals for about 2 months now. She will only eat her snacks (melty puffs, yogurts, fruit purée etc). Has anyone else experienced this? She is teething which definitely doesn’t help!

Weaning query
How does the formula consumption change once the baby starts solid? My baby turned 7 months yesterday ,he used to drink formula 4 times a day, and took 1 night breast feed. Yesterday i started solids twice a day 1.5- 2 hours after formula feed.today my baby slept earlier than usual after the evening solid feed and i did not even realize he is sleeping for the night rather than a nap.he usually takes a formula feed after 3 hours of the evening solid right before sleeping .is this pattern normal? How does the frequency /quantity of formula milk need to change once solids increase?

Weaning off my baby from breastmilk
Hi ladies, My daughter just turned 1 last month and I'm planning off weaning her from breastmilk. The issue is I'm not quite sure how as my daughter is super attached to breastmilk, especially for comfort during bedtime or in the middle of the night. I do have formula but she's not a fan of it. She can be fussy sometimes. I'm just wondering how did you all do it and how long did it take? Thanks everyone! 🥰

Bread has salt; can 12 month old still eat it?
Keep reading baby can have toast and crackers and butter etc, but is it regular bread and crackers or special ones for babies, because don’t crackers and toast have salt, which babies aren’t meant to have in their diet? If it IS regular stuff, What am I meant to look for ie multigrain, seeded, whole meal etc

10.5 months and always pursing lips shut when eating solid food
She’s on a high chair, foods laid in front of her and all she does is smush them and touches them. I’ve tried making her hold onto weaning wands and then raising her hands to her mouth to show her. As well as eat them myself. She doesn’t take even if I feed her either. But she always purses her lips shut and shoved the food out with her tongue whenever I give her puréed stuff, porridge, cerelac, fruit pieces. What the juice do I do

Baby keeps itching herself (9 mo)
My breastfed baby keeps itching herself. It’s been happening for 10 days. I THINK it might be because my MIL washed her clothes in fragranced detergent and then used fragranced fabric conditioner, despite me showing her baby’s Exocet Non-Bio 0% fragrance detergent (She used the Method brand fragranced stuff), however, what if it’s a food allergen? If I eat nuts, can that go through to her via breast milk and cause issue to her? The only other food she has is Cerelac. Could it be a wheat allergen? 3-4 weeks ago, I started adding Whole Earth super smooth peanut butter. Could it be a peanut allergy? She only itches her upper body ie belly , chest and arms - not legs or face - and she been making it go quite raw She is teething too

Baby Isaiah
I really wish I could get a feeding chair for my baby , he’s now eight months and starting to eat solids but Im not working at the moment and I have an illness that causes me to can’t do any and any job so finding a suitable job for me is very hard especially where I’m from. His father and I are separated but he still sits the necessary stuff like pampers, feeding etc whenever they are finished. But he’s unable to afford to buy it . I’m from Jamaica and a proper job is hard to find here. At the moment I’m still seeking a job hoping I can get one soon so I can save to buy one for my baby but I really wish I could get one now .

Formula and Bottle Weaning
We are trying to transfer our 1 year old son from formula to milk, then from his bottles to sippy cups after. He was fine the first two weeks as we went from full formula to ¾ formula and ¼ milk for a week, then ½ formula and ½ milk for a week. The past three days, he will accept his morning and evening bottle, but refuses his other two during the day. I'm not sure why he has started this. Our main concern is having him become too dehydrated as he still does not regularly drink from his water with a hint of apple juice sippy cup throughout the day, and when he does it's usually tiny amounts.

Weaning a bottle fed baby
For Mommas who have weaned bottle fed babies. What, in your experience, is best to wean first, the bottle or the formula (or breast milk)? I know he should not have cow's milk until 1 year and he's eating plenty of souls foods. What l wonder is should I start his bottle weaning first (give him formula in sippy cups)? Or should I get him weaned from formula first (give him milk in a bottle)?I know all babies and families are different but I'm wondering what worked for other people.

Tips on feeding baby
Just a few things I have learnt during the weaning process.-Increasing portion sizes by a specific amount will help you to monitor the amount your baby can eat. E.g. starting with 1 tablespoon per meal and increasing number of spoons over time.-Start with the more textured dish during a feed that may require chewing. The food with bigger pieces. - Try to cook or cut up vegetables into dishes as a one pot meal as opposed to having them on the side for example Mediterranean rice.- Use healthy foods for creamy options such as blended legumes or root vegetables mixed with water rather than adding cream or cheese. - Feed them the same foods as what you would normally have in easy to swallow sizes.- Offer little amounts of water with food.

Essential vitamins 7+ months
Food before one is just for fun but just for info. as some may not know some minerals and vitamins start to deplete around 7 months. Iron and zinc are essential. Also vitamin D C & A. Most formulas will have these included so mainly breastfed babies need another source.
