Need help

I was 160 when I got pregnant, 184 was my last weight of pregnancy and now I’m at 158. My newborn has her days and nights mixed up so I’m up late at night and take lots of mini naps all day. I don’t even eat anything until dinner time which can be between 5-8 pm and then I’m done for the day I don’t eat anything else.. it’s hard for me to lose weight and if I do I’m nervous to gain it all back because I don’t eat right now, and I don’t want to get back into my regular routine and then start eating normally and gain it all back. I’m not active, I breastfeed here and there maybe 2x a day and I eat like crap. My goal is to get to my pre baby weight the first time I got pregnant which was 118. I have a long way to go but I just find it hard to do anything right now and I’m not feeling too positive on weight loss. I guess I have no motivation. And it’s very hard be consistent and break bad habits and start good ones.. any kind of advice would be helpful and maybe some positive energy 😌

If you know you eat like crap then turn it around and just start eating better. Gotta be a mindset. Starving never works and only makes you feel bad, eventually will make you moody and unstable emotionally. Gotta do better for yourself so you can be top notch for the babe. Don’t worry so much girly it’s all part of motherhood… being healthy is more important than loosing weight.

Eat your body weight in grams of protein 135lbs = 135g of protein and weight lifting at the gym

GUYS!!!🩷

Few years ago I lost 46lbs/3 and a half stone and I ended up piling it back on because my brain just couldn’t stop thinking of food!! To now - I found a tool to help with weightloss which I won’t say on here because I’m not advertising but I started 7 weeks ago trying to lose weight again and I’ve lost 24LBS!!!😭 so much less stressful and my mind is so calm and I don’t crave foods anymore or fizzy drinks and I no longer overeat! I’m morbidly obese! I started off at 299lbs/21 stone 5lbs and I’m now 275lbs/19 stone 9lbs! In 7 WEEKS!!😍😍🩷🩷🩷

I’m happy you feel good but you also have to be mentally prepared to eat well and live a healthier lifestyle when you are off of the pill. Practice while you are on so that you don’t just go back to binging

I’m addicted to sugar and I need help

So I’ve always had a sweet tooth but since becoming a mom (have a two and a half year old) I’ve been so sleep deprived he hasn’t slept through the night since having him and I’ve used sugar and carbs to get through the day as I can’t have caffeine as it gives me bladder pain. I’ve obv gained weight and I want to feel better in myself plus’s be a good example to my son and have a good relationship with food but I’m really struggling to get through the day and have no will power, I wake up and forget my plan for the day cuz I’m so tired all the time and out of it and before I know it I’m back on the sugar and once I start I can’t stop. I’m wondering if I should go cold turkey as I’ve heard after a while once you have it again you don’t like it as it’s to sweet but I’m also scared that I’m guna go crazy once I have some again, I want to do this in a healthy way.One thing I may try is to and put my sweetie money aside and after a few months buy myself something nice with that money like a stacking ring or clothes eg cuz I bet it all Adds up after a few months and I will still be treating myself. Anyone else been though this? What helped you? I’m wondering if I should try therapy at this point but I can’t really afford it right now.

I am a nutritionist and I recommend that you take baby steps to change your habits. As you are not able to change the stress and lack of sleep that you are experiencing right now, start with a nutritious breakfast that balance your blood sugar. Look for low glycemic recipes online and take it from there (I also have a free breakfast recipe book to share, dm if you would like to know more). As you start to see improvements you'll want to implement more changes. Good luck in your health journey

Weight Gain instead of Loss

So it goes back 7 around years ago (2018) I was underweight during my pregnancy which was 48 Kg, and Was advised to eat healthy & drink loads of water which I did and I ended up having upto 80kg at my last term before baby was due. After having first child I did manage to lose and had 65 KgWith Second baby I only gained 10 kg, 74 kg but I lost that one quickly too. Both kids were born via Emergency C-Sections Now 1st one is almost 6 , Second one is 3.5 y/o.I went to extreme depression last year ended up having prescription, anxiety meds and therapy.I lost myself somewhere in junk food and unhealthy habits.Tho, in beginning of 2024 i joined Gym and manage to do simple cardio and Biking. However I’m getting bloated a lot and I’m not using any extra carbs at all. But I’m gaining more weight that instead of going back to 50kg, i am now 74, (weight I had with my second bab).I know it’s unhealthy and I really don’t understand why Diet and exercise not working? I’m 32 now and I feel sluggish and heavy. I never liked myself like that and I do understand pregnancy can change your body so is depression but 10 months of work and ended up gaining 10 kg extra? with Proper diet no junks ….

I'm a Muslim, so yes I fast regularly. Both from food and fluids. I think it depends on what you do when you break your fast. When I eat healthy during Ramadan I feel energised and healthy and I lose weight. If I eat junk food I may still lose weight because I don't eat enough calories, but I feel extremely fatigued and hungry and thirsty all day. Fasting is great to lose weight, but if you also want to be healthy you need a healthy diet

Advise highly needed!

Hello Everyone!!I’m not too sure on what to write but I really need some advice if I can…In March of this year I got quite sick but doctors aren’t sure what was wrong and I wasn’t able to move much so I was bed written and eating for about 2 months straight which mean I was putting on a lot of weight, I got up to 101kg (put on 20kg)Once I was able to get around again I slowly started going for walks/jogs as that is what has helped in the past with my exercise but it isn’t helping anymore, I have tried swimming and Have paid for some online PT which also haven’t helped. I have really started focusing on my diet but I’m struggling to find meals that are easy to make and something I enjoy that give me to nutritional benefits that I need. It’s been a while but I am really struggling with how I look and I really want to keep focusing on it but it’s got to the point where I am about to just give up on focusing on me cause I see no progress at all. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you in advance.🩵

Fitness blender.com they have workout videos on YouTube and they have a website where you can filter the type of workout you want to do, such as low impact, cardio, strength training, or body are you want to focus on. I highly recommend them.

Post partum weight loss desired

Hello everyone! I’m a plus size mother, and wife. I really want to lose this weight. I was losing before I got pregnant, but I think I got pregnant because I lost so much weight before. Don’t get me wrong I love my baby. She’s my second child and I love my kids and husband, but for some reason I’m not able to see myself doing better. For me! I feel good when I lose weight, why do I make it so hard for myself? My baby is six months now and I feel like I should have lost 50lbs already. I’ve tried making healthy meals not only for myself, but my entire family. They don’t like anything I make. Any suggestions where to start? How to start? I have the urge to jump up and go for a run, but how to manifest it into my busy daily life? Thank you all for your support and encouragement in advance! 😊🙏🏽

Weight gain grief???

Hey guys. So, I've gained weight. Like, A LOT of weight. So much weight that I gave myself PCOS. But that's not the issue. I started dieting and eating better about two months ago and lost 2.5kgs, and was so happy. Then I got a new job and started feeling more stressed and not eating as well as I did and, well... All my hard work went down the drain. I gained it all back and then some. Now I look at myself in the mirror and I feel so disgusted. How do you guys deal with weight gain grief? Because I'm really struggling right now...

Start by not beating yourself up about it. Find some meals and snacks you like that are healthier options and meal prep. Start a food journal and try to remember and log what you eat when you are busy, stressed or too tired to make something healthier. You'll see where you are inconsistent in diet/exercise, etc and then prep for that too.

Weight Loss!

Being calorie deficit is key to weight loss. Helped me for sure but it takes time to get used to. More importantly your body. Good luck on your journey! It isn’t easy but oh so worth it ❤️ I’m still on mine.

I never lost all the weight I gained when I had my son. Now pregnant with number two. Weight gain/loss is so person-dependent. Your body went through a change that will permanently change your body composition, shape, etc.

Weight loss

Anyone currently doing weight watchers or some other lifestyle change? I would love an accountability partner.

No weight watchers/nutrisystem/jenny craig diet planning stuff, but I’m walking 2.5/3.0 miles on the treadmill and eating lots of salad and low-carb stuff. I used to weigh 206 pounds, but I dropped 20 pounds and now weigh 186!!! I’m sooooo proud of myself 🥹

Zepbound Concern

Hey everyoneMy doctor prescribed me zepbound and I’m kinda nervous to start it due to the risk of thyroid cancer. I know that they found thyroid cancer to be an issue in rats, but I’m still nervous. My doctor said everything we eat, drink, consume can cause cancer, and the chances of this is slow. But when I look at other people’s stories on ozempic or MJ, they say they were on the shots for less than a year and got diagnosed with thyroid cancer and it’s unclear if it was from the shot or not I know I shouldn’t compare my journey to others, but it’s still something I’m nervous about. I don’t have any family history of cancer, and I know me being my weight now is more of a health risk than anything elseI’m 5’2 and I’m 168 pounds. Any words of advise so I can stop being nervous??

Struggling to start weight loss

I had baby 1 Jan 2021, baby 2 june 2022, baby 3 Oct 2023. I started at 190lbs before baby 1 and never got back to pre baby weight. After baby 2, I worked hard and got to 185lbs (was 225 6w pp). Now after baby 3, I haven’t lost any weight and have actually gained. I’m 7m pp and weigh 240. I’m so overwhelmed at how to even start losing weight. I’m an emotional eater and eat when I’m overwhelmed or stressed which is only making this worse. What small steps did you all take to start weight loss? My goal is 160 but honestly I more just want to start.

More water, no soda, and cut back on sugary drinks. Eat more proteins and healthy fats along with vegetables and limit fruits. If you're a fast food kinda person cut back to once a week order the sandwich skip the fries. Same with dining out skip the fries and order a side salad or veggies instead. I order pizza sometimes for my kids but I'll get wings and a salad for myself when I do. If it comes pre packaged or in an a box don't eat it. It's a serious adjustment, it takes time and willpower to dedicate to the healthy diet changes.

How do I lose weight?

This is a picture of me last year, and one from today. I graduated last year, and I played softball all four years of high school. Now that I am in college and have a a job, I am not as active as I was. I go to the gym, but not every single day and I’m not consistent. Plus, I have no idea what exercises I should be doing and what is beneficial to me! In the picture from last year, I thought I was fat. Now, I’m even bigger. I’m so self conscious about this. How do I lose weight? Or maybe even just tone up! I don’t know. I just feel like I’m way too big for my age. I try diets and exercise and I just seem to keep gaining…

First of all, you are not way too big for your age. You look great. Second of all… You have to be in a calorie deficit to lose weight. I would do some walking, maybe some bodyweight exercises like squats, planks, Burpees. Maybe add some weights when you feel strong enough. You don't have to go to the gym every day, just be consistent with doing some activity every day, even if it's just at home or a going for a walk.It doesn't have to be for a long time and it doesn't have to be super strenuous. Just stay consistent. Use an app like MyFitnessPal to make sure you eating the right amount. You do not need a huge deficit. Just 100-200 cal. The app can help you figure out how many calories you need to be eating each day.

Mini pill and weight question!

I’ve been on the mini pill since my 6w pp check in December. This is my first time using bc after pregnancy (third kid) and it’s the first time pp I’ve gained a lot of weight. They might not be connected, but did anyone else experience weight gain on the mini pill? If so, did you lose it when you came off it? Thanks
