UPDATE:I did nearly 10k steps every day this past week, Aunt Flo started on Monday so I did rest a bit more that day.Today, I'm under the weather so I'm hoping to feel better later and go for a walk with my dog.What's everyone else been up to?

Weight loss journey hit pause? HELP

Hello all,So I started taking my health more seriously about 2 years ago. At the start I was 210lbs and last year I dropped to 155lbs and felt great. I started the combination pill at the end of last year and noticed that this whole year I've struggled with my weight. I gained and have been fluctuating between 165-170lbs. I have been diligent about working out and doing both weights and cardio. Recently I have been doing a variety of cardio machines and pushing with more resistance and faster speeds. I'm mindful of what and when I eat. For example eating more protein and fiber followed by 1 small portion of carbs and minimizing fats. I don't really eat desserts or snacks. I've tried intermediate fasting and it worked at first but not so much now. I feel like I can't slack off in the slightest or indulge in anything even with strict moderation or I'll gain another 5lbs. It's really scary and frustrating that the progress I've made can be lost even though I'm trying harder than ever to lose weight.Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

1st 6lbs and 39 inches gone for good🙌🏼Never in a million years thought I’d be able to make the change but I’m so glad I did and comparing photos makes you realise all the hard work is worth it💕

Nutritionist to lose weight

My youngest is 6 weeks and my oldest is 2.5 years old. I was overweight after having my oldest but now I’m even heavier and I’ve reached my breaking point. I’m so disgusted with myself. I have binge eating disorder and I desperately need help. I talked to my sister because she lost 40 pounds after having my nephew and what she did was she saw a nutritionist. He gave her meals planned out for a whole week and exact workouts and she stuck to it. She lost 11 pounds in the first 2 weeks alone. I’m looking to lose 40-50 pounds as well. Has anyone else done something like this to lose weight? I know this is a nutritionists job, but I feel so embarrassed about my weight and binge eating that it’s almost like I’m embarrassed to even call to get pricing. But I’m ready to make a change. I can’t stand living like this and I need someone to hold me accountable and tell me how to diet because I have no idea how lol. Thanks!

I used to go to a personal trainer. For like…8 or 9 years. I wouldn’t be embarrassed. My trainer wrote out my meal plans to a T. I loved it!

Losing weight too fast?

I’m a first time mom and currently breastfeeding my twins. I was 327 before delivering on October 1st. Flash forward to now, I’m currently 259 😅 my doctor said not to worry but it seems very extreme and almost impossible to lose 68 pounds in two and a half weeks. I eat about 4-5 meals with snacks in between (pretty much eating after every feeding) and I’m eating healthy food too like oatmeal, smoothies, and lots of yummy vegetarian meals so idk 🤷🏽‍♀️

A few days after I had my son I lost just under 20 lbs in one night. I literally woke up 20 pounds lighter. I didn’t even fit into my skinniest jeans. from before pregnancy. It was nuts!

What’s going on?

I had a very healthy pregnancy, lost all but 10 lbs after I had my son. Fast forward to 6 months later, my weight hasn’t gone down at all, I just seem to keep gaining. Anyone else with this issue? Here I thought breastfeeding would help you loose weight and it’s doing the opposite for me. Help!!

Breastfeeding helped me lose weight but I stopped because it was a job all it's own and my baby had problems with latching. I also lost weight quickly but then gained it right back. Even though I try to work out, it seems the moment I decide to eat a little over my calories for the day and I gain weight quickly.

I'm on a weightloss journey. I weighed 284 Aug. 25, 2022 now I weigh 258. Intermittent fasting works best for me. It isn't easy but I'm doing it. I was told by my doctor I was a borderline diabetic in the first week of September (this month)and that I can change things around before my next doctor appointment in 2 weeks. I have also stopped breathing in my sleep and snoring very very loudly due to so much weight gain, so I'm gonna get tested for sleep apnea too they hope its just the weight which I'm working on now. Since I am losing weight I don't have bad back aches anymore, I want take care of me now before it's to late. I'm almost 31, I have a 5 year old who needs me.

I’m 4’11 and I’m 51 yrs old . I guess I will never see 110 again. Right? What is a healthy weight for my age? Does anybody know? I might have to google it.

Please do not go by the bmi system. It isn't configured to body build at all! I'm 4'11 and am hourglass build. I weigh 130 lbs. Slim thick is what that'd be called.

Losing weight

So 27 days in lost 12 lbs would have been more if my kids didn't get sick and gave it to me. But it is what it is lol. I'm already 4x to a comfortable 3x.. weird thing is this time around my chest is the first thing to go. Not complaining don't really know what I'm doing different for that to happen is all. I just wish I had more support. My husband has been great with helping me figure out meals but his mother my goodness. Ive never met someone who could be so hurtful with saying very little. There's absolutely nothing wrong with measuring ur food but to her I guess those who do are all know it all or don't eat enough...im just now learning what sizes should look like. I'm very self conscious about it all. I'm just trying to figure this all out. I'm not starving myself I'm actually eating till I'm not hungry not till I'm full where it hurts you know. So to be judge like that hurts. I don't pretend I know what I'm doing...im learning as I go what works for me and all she seems to do is bring me down. She complains about her own weight always says she doesn't want me to post her pics when I take a pic of my kids and she's in it but she eats and eats and eats all this sugar when she got the fat surgery over ten years ago...she's basically gained it all back and she wants to do the surgery again. My youngest is turning 1 in Nov. And I've had enough of the pains hib and knees and back and I figure weight loss will help and it has just the little bit I have lost. Just wish she support me.

A food scale is a tool to assist you. There is nothing wrong with weighing your food if you are eating enough and a well rounded diet. I believe that weighing your food is a great tool to help you understand what an actual portion size is. Most places we eat give double what a portion should be and many people were taught to finish their plate rather than listen to your body. When you are just starting out, it is a fantastic way to reprogram old habits. I measured my food for years until I became confident enough to know what a portion looked like and realize that if I’m still hungry after, it’s okay to have a bit more. It’s about balance. In all the time I weighed my food my family would tell me to just live or it’s okay to not do every once in a while, and while they mean good, you know yourself and how to get through your journey. Just remember to keep it as a tool and not your lifeline.

If you ARE GAINING WEIGHT, would you want your best friend/close friend/family member to tell you?

I ask because, i have a VERY CLOAE BEST FRIEND who has been gaining sooo much weight and she always tells me "im getting bigger," but i never respond and i was telling my sister and my sister said i shouldnt tell her/admit that she is because its an offense.... i put myself in my friends shoes and i feel i would want my friends/fam to tell me , WHY??? because maybe i dont realize it, maybe i dont see the weight in me. Maybe i need a push to eat better or Maybe im going through something and i need my friends to help me ans guide me...and open my eyes. Therefore i wont take it as an offense.. BECAUSE it comes with honesty and its the truth, WHAT DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS ???

8 week Glow Boot camp

Missed Period

I’ve missed 2 periods back to back these past two months and have taken 4 pregnancy tests so far (about to take more im anxious lol) I feel nearly certain it’s due to being overweight though. I have a high bmi ( I don’t remember the exact number but it’s pretty high) I need to schedule an appointment with my doctor to check on everything for sure but I wondered how common it is to lose your period due to being overweight. I know I am overweight I just never thought it was that drastic? But every body is different also. Just looking for insight and next steps from others who have been/are in similar situations thank you :)

I hate myself

I used to be 110 lbs and now I don’t even wanna know how much I weigh but it’s somewhere around 140. I’m 5’1. I gained 30lbs in a year but the worst part is I DIDNT CHANGE ANYTHING. i didn’t start eating more, or exercising less, or anything at all. Literally nothing changed with my lifestyle or dietary habits. I just randomly gained a shit load of weight mostly all in my stomach I look pregnant, I feel disgusting 24/7 I cry every morning getting dressed I am repulsed by myselfI don’t know what happened. I really don’t I’m going to the OB to see if maybe they can rule out a cyst?? Or something hormonal? I also have tried exercising more and calorie defect but I don’t lose any weight or fat around my stomach. I’m always soooo bloatedI hate this. Look how the weight is just mainly in my stomach area.Even when I have weighed a little more in the past my stomach wasn’t so protruding it so uncomfortable to have my stomach press and spill over all of my pants and under my bra no matter the sizeI used to look like this ⬇️ HAHA :((

Try eating fermented foods!! Eating kimchi or Greek yogurt helps me with bloat.Also try cutting out ultra processed foods and cooking all your meals. Also see how you feel after eating gluten. After I cut out gluten from the majority of my diet (I should probably get tested for celiac eventually) by bloat went away. I noticed that it’s only after gluten that my stomach blows up and then I’m normal the next morning. Also after eating so healthy period pain was reduced astronomically. So health can affect you positively in other ways too! I feel like calorie restriction does not allllways work. Sometimes it’s quality over quantity. I read a study where two people are the same amount of calories and the person who ate ultra processed foods was the only one who gained weight. Not saying you are unhealthy, but this can just help anyone who comes across this post!

Tips for picky eater!!

I’m such a picky eater and finding foods too eat while dieting is really difficult. I’ve never dieted before and I’m not sure where to start but really wanting to lose around 50 pounds 😩 If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated!
