God is good even in the midst of sorrow! Praying for you, sister. I struggled the same with scripture reading. It was helpful to me to not treat it as some monumental thing. I started just reading 1 psalm each morning right after I wake up, and praying through it. It was very encouraging! And the second bit of advice is getting an accountability partner. Probably better to get someone who knows your situation, and knows how to love you well. But set some small, attainable goals and share them with this person.

And in all of this remember that it’s going to be ok. NOT because things are good, or life is easy, or we do all the right things. But because God is good. He is unchanging in his steadfast love and goodness. Even when we waver, he stands firm. Remind yourself of his promises. Spend a day searching them up and writing them on a notecard to keep them with you. And remember. God’s love is unconditional. There is nothing we can give him, nothing we can DO to earn his love. It is all because of Christ that we can be saved and be loved. So yes, it is good and necessary to grow the discipline of Bible reading and prayer in your Christian walk, BUT that does not determine your salvation and standing with God. You CAN develop these habits, and you WILL benefit from them. You
