So I just got my first Sequential test done yesterday and was wondering if anyone was told the gender from it? I know the NIPT test does but I had to do this one instead per my midwife

Military mommas

Wanted to share this for any military mommas out there. I only just found out about it because I happened to be at the fleet & family support center where I'm stationed. All you have to do is register and attend a short virtual class (I think they said its either 60 or 90 minutes) and you get free stuff shipped right to your door!!

8 weeks vent

Hey ladies , I have just had to switch from my obgyn to one with the military. It’s getting to be exhausting. I have to repeat everything all over again. I was referred out because I was diagnosed high risk pregnant at 4 weeks ( they found the little sprout at 3 weeks 1 day ). They did all my blood work and work up and first ultrasound. They released me from their care due to the complexity of my pregnancy. Now I’m back at square one with intake appts and blood work since the military wont accept my old records. My husband is deployed right now and has missed most of the 1 st trimester woes. I have not been throwing up but I have been relentlessly nauseated. I almost wish I could throw up, and im crying at everything 😢

Anyone pregnant and active duty?

How are you feeling about the mandatory vaccinations? Do you know a way to postpone it (im navy). I don't want to be exempt from the vaccine, I just would like to postpone getting it until I give birth (I do not care that it is fda approved lol) im high key stressing about this. I don't want my baby to have to handle the possible side effects that could show up in a few years....😭😔

Pregnancy discharge (ch. 8) questions

Can someone help me to understand the ch. 8 process? I understand you will be separated before giving birth so does that mean you would be unemployed for maternity leave? I have so many questions and my unit isn’t much help to answering any. I don’t want to stay in the army with a newborn but if I’m not going to be able to get paid before and after giving birth I’m going to have because my husband and I can’t afford for me to not get a paycheck. I don’t know if this makes sense because I’m so confused about the ch. 8 process. From what I have read it seems like the army isn’t going to take care of you or baby after you separate and you will separate right before giving birth so you won’t be able to have a job somewhere else that will give you paid maternity leave.

Anyone have experience with having a baby on a military base?

If you had your baby at a military hospital what was your experience like? How was the first appointment? I got told today that I need to do a walk in pregnancy test with my clinic on post. Seems kind of strange to walk up in their and ask for a pregnancy test. Did any of you guys have to do this? I have two kids and this will be my third but my first experience going on post.

Hey guys do you know if tricare prime covers any/all home birth costs and the nipt test? What about a birthing center? Thanks!

Advice

This is me and my boyfriends first baby, But he leaves for basics on August 3rd and will miss the whole pregnancy and maybe the birth depending on the state of corona. Because of corona, he can’t come home for the break he gets between basics and AIT either. We are both trying to keep our heads up high and think positive. But it’s hard not to think about the negatives and I feel so bad that he’s missing all these things with the baby and can’t even come to my first appt because of corona. If anyone could help us find a way to try and help this void while he’s gone that’d be great :)

32 weeks and my husband left me

I’m so upset Iv cried every day since he’s been gone I feel so empty and lost without him he’s truly my best friend my soul mate the love of my life and I miss him so much 😓😩😓 he just went to the Middle East for an op (we’re both active duty US military) and I can’t even describe how lonely and depressed I feel. I don’t wanna eat I don’t want to move I just wanna lay in bed in his sweatshirt covered in his cologne and cry I know that’s bad but It’s how I feel 😭😭 I still am going to work obviously and eating what I can drinking lots of water but I miss him so much!! He’s supposed to return sometime in either April or as late as June so I’m also facing potentially giving birth alone and that scares me and makes me cry even more I know other ladies have been through this so if you have any tips I would appreciate it.

Anxiety about being alone

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and my husband is in the Army. He’s been in for 3 yrs and we’ve been together for almost 8 yrs- married for 3.5 yrs. So I’m not new to type of life, but he is going to be sent away for 6 months for training soon. We are not sure if it’ll be before I give birth or after (🤞🏻 for after). This is our first child and I don’t know how I will handle being apart from him with a child all by myself. We live out of state from friends and family. Can anyone share their experiences with husbands being away for extended periods of time while you have a baby- both good and bad? How did you cope? I’m currently in a Masters program online, but I won’t be able to continue to work because I only work part time and daycare will be more than I make so it’s not worth it. Im afraid I’ll become very overwhelmed by myself with taking care of a baby, doing school work, and keeping the house clean.

Husband left for boot camp

Currently 5 weeks pregnant with our second. Hubby left for Navy bootcamp this morning and I miss him so much already.

Joining the military?!

Any single moms join the military with 3 kids? I have always wanted to join but I let my soon to be ex-husband talk me out of it when we met. I'm 27 and I really think it would be the best decision for me. What do you think?

So my boyfriend is joining the army to help better support our family. We have a 2 year old boy and another in the way... he leaves in 2 weeks to go to basics he comes back a week before Christmas and he told me that if by any chance the baby is born early.. like our first son was.. example: if my obgyn says that I’m dilated to 2cm then he says I should call Red Cross and tell them where he is stationed and that I’m due to go into labor early so they can fly him home.. I’m freaking out cause that seems like it’s gonna be my reality soon. Last ultrasound appointment we had I was told that baby boy is showing 5 days bigger. They won’t change the due date cause it’s not an official week before he’s supposed to be born so now I’m just worrying because according to what they said then baby would be due December 18th instead if 23rd. I’m just wondering if anyone else had to go thru something similar and was there a happy ending with him making it home in time?

1st pregnancy - husband deploying - gadgets for him to use while away

I'm looking at getting my husband some sort of gadget that will let him feel the babies movements or heartbeat ( I dont know if they actually exist or work) I am in the u.k and he will be gone for the last 6 month of the pregnancy so would like to find something for him to keep some sort of bond. Any help and ideas would be amazing

First appointment?

I got this beauty yesterday and am now planning to go in for my confirmation test on Thursday. I was wondering those of you with prime how did your Confirmation go? When did you find out how far along you were? When was your first u/s? When was your first actual appointment? Thank you all in advance.

Pregnant overseas...

Is there anyone else here stationed overseas and pregnant? We had been trying for a year and a half when we got sent to Italy and we finally ended up pregnant about 7 months after we got here. I'm feeling so lonely here, especially being pregnant. Anyone else stationed overseas and feeling the same way? I'm just having a really hard time. I guess I pictured being closer to family when we got pregnant since when we started trying we were near my parents. I just want to be back in the states. Anyone else?

Anyone had any experience with OB in Fort Benning, Ga & what plan TRICARE are y’all using prime ? I’m lost lol how do I find a good doctor in my area and how do I find out what TRICARE covers
