Have been to all of them, most more than once. My list personally would be costa rica, bahamas, Belize, Puerto rico, Dominican Republic. Dont think you can go wrong with the first 3...they are all amazing. Puerto rico is beautiful but in my experience a little less fun and often.worse weather. Been to the DR twice and dont care if I go back. It is pretty but it is less safe and just not as relaxing or fun in many ways. Glad I've gone but if I had to chose just 1 that would be bottom out of this list every time. A big part honestly just depends on what you wanna do as they are all a little different. Food is great in any of them but the bahamas and belize have the best in my opinion. Cost will vary on place but for the actual trip if you do the all inclusive resort like you said it is upfront more or less. Not sure where you live but for me the flight cost to the bahamas is insanely cheaper as its like a 30 min flight from miami where as the others are further off the coast. I live in Florida though so for me it wmis way way way cheaper to just get to miami and hop a quick flight. Last 3 day weekend trip we took to Nassau we got round trip plane tickets for like 135 a person. When we went to Belize in 2022 cheapest was like 600 round trip. And I'd avoid end of summer myself as much higher chance for a hurricane. Crazy weather, wind and messed up flights/excursions are not fun.
