- Venue: my venue is a barn that u found through Facebook. He doesn’t advertise but let’s couples come to him. It was 500 for Ceremony + Reception + Tables and chairs I would need + DJ area already set up in case I wanted to do my own music

- Music: I am using YouTube to play my music! I have created a play list (Wedding Playlist - Tina Christopher; in case you want to view it) when the wedding month comes use the free subscription to get ad free play!

- Food: Catering is crazy expensive, I’m having a s’mores and taco bar with sweet tea and lemonade so I can just use the mixes with water!

- Bridesmaids Dresses: I went on David’s Bridal, looked at the dresses on sale and looked at reviews and seen what it looked like on other girls. All the girls bought their own dresses for the on sale price of $50

- Groomsmen: Most guys already have dress pants and white button down in their closet, add a black tie and they were set!

- Cake: I have a cousin who bakes as a hobby and is making me cupcakes for free!

- Photographer: A girl I went to high school with started doing photography as a hobby (mainly sports and events rather than shoots). She is doing my pictures for $300; $100 down payment and $200 due the day of the wedding

- Dress: although you can get dresses MUCH cheaper than what u got mine, I spent roughly $800-$900 for my dress AND veil. My dress was on clearance and had an extra sale because it was on recall (not sure why but it doesn’t matter to me) I was able to do payments of $80 a week

- Alterations: my bridesmaid are getting any alterations they need done themselves. my aunt, who again does it as a hobby, is altering my wedding dress.

- Flowers: I ordered bridesmaids bouquets off of a VERY sketchy website (don’t really recommend but it’s what I did) and bought 6 bouquets for $35 since I was buying more than 1 there was a deal for it. My bouquet as well as boutonnières I plan to DIY with fake flowers from hobby lobby.

- Decorations: my venue offered a whole building of decorations I can use for the wedding for free so that was a HUGE money saver!

- Officiate: My preacher is doing this for free!

- DJ: I am doing all the things the DJ would, I’m doing the music and when it comes to announcements he wedding party will be helping out in that department!

A lot of people who do things as a hobby rather than a career will do things cheaper or for free! Here’s the two main pictures of my venue though!
