What do I do?

I've never had a great relationship with my family. I've constantly remained busy as to avoid the void that was my home.

I've been with my boyfriend for almost three years and I feel like my family tolerates him more than likes him, but idk. The problem they seem to have is that I spend more time with him than them... But it's mostly that he is around alot because of the emotions my family reigns upon me. He makes me happy.

I came home early for break because my bf's grandma passed away mid October during my fall break and the services were supposed to be over Thanksgiving break (they got pushed back till December 4th). I've been spending extra time with him and his family because I had already planned that, but my family has been mad.

They've been throwing fits I haven't been home 24/7. I got remarks made to me that I wasn't allowed to leave the house even though I am a 20 year old adult (and yes, they've agreed I'm an adult and should be treated like one...). They complained they didn't get quality family time, though they've shot down my ideas for family time repeatedly and my sister hasn't been home much because of school. They also claimed I just left repeatedly without telling them, which is a lie. What am I supposed to do? How am I supposed to make this all work and balance if they won't even accept anything I do as an adult?

I also had a problem with when I claimed that the other night when my parents, sister, me, and my boyfriend played Cards Against Humanity... It was family time. My mom informed me it wasn't because my bf wasn't family and there wasn't a ring, so it doesn't count. My dad also went on a spiel about who he considers family and not, why, and how some people are just a step in the game. Wtf.
