When I was 18, I married a man who flipped my world upside down and nothing has been the same since. He was physically and emotionally abusive. I went through countless beating and arguments and even when I was right, I was wrong. We tried for a baby hoping that a miracle would save us but sadly, we lost our miracle at 17 weeks after a very traumatic event. Despite losing my child at his hand, we still tried for another hoping and praying we could be successful. It was still a fail. Many people asked my while I stayed during the abuse much less stay after losing a child with him. Well, that’s a question that I don’t know how to answer. This “man” put me through hell for close to a year before I was ready to escape! Since, I have met an amazing man who is nothing like any man I’ve ever been with. All of the walls I built up with my ex husband, he helped tear them down and realize not all men are the same. We have been on our journey to parent hood for about 5 months now and have yet to have success. With every coming month we pray harder than we’ve prayed before hoping to be blessed with a positive test. Unlike my ex, he doesn’t make me feel like seeing only 1 line is my fault. Instead, he encourages me to continue trying and praying and waiting. He lets me know it’s okay to fail because someday we will have what we’ve been waiting for and as long as we pray, nothing can stand in our way. He proves to me everyday that he is going to work hard for not only us but for the family we hope to have. He proves his love for me and the unborn child we are patiently waiting for. He reminds me that God has a plan that God will fulfill what we need we have. Although we are still waiting for a child, I know we are not alone. We know there are other men and women out there who are staying strong for each other and waiting on Gods time to come! Ladies, as hard as it is to see only one line, let me remind you that God will never put more on your plate than you can handle. He will never test you past your limit. He will never turn his back on you! Seek him and you will find any and all answers you’re looking for!
