Sex how long after birth??

I heard 6 weeks is the time to heal. How long  did you wait to have sex after giving birth? Why? What was it like after?

At least 6 weeks. Your doctor will tell you when it's safe to resume, because your body has to do a ton of healing from birth. Any sooner is a huge risk of infection.

I was 2 weeeks each time, it was AMAZING!! Although with no1 it was a bit uncomfortable with my stitches 🙈

2 weeks after bleeding stopped with 3 my 1st about 3 4 week as I tore bad zx

12 days I had to get cut and the longer I was going without the more nervous I was getting so we did to just get it out of the way so to speak see if it hurt etc it did slightly untill i breathed out and also for the anyone who ever wonders you do bounce back even only 12 days in 😊

I took the full six weeks and even then it hurt like hell. I don't know how women do it like two weeks later....painful.

My 6 week appointment was at 5 weeks and she gave me the go ahead. It hurt really bad and we weren't able to have sex the first couple times we tried but I tore during child birth so maybe that's why.

4.5 weeks.. was nervous but honestly it felt amazing 😂 think because it’s still sensitive and was good having that intimacy between me and my husband again after us both being so focused on parenthood non stop

We tried after 3 weeks because we really missed being intimate with each other. However, it didn't last long because it hurt like hell for me. I plan on waiting the 6 weeks next time to make sure I'm completely healed.
