Awkward, kids in public

Does anyone else feel like kids blurt out or do the most awkward things mostly on public? Is it just Preschool and Kindergarden aged kids? Today my son blurted out in Waffle House loudly that my SO is black. I said "Yes, you're right, he is. What are you?" He looked at his arm and said, "I'm brown." ( I hadn't had the race talk with him yet and my son is mostly white with some Native American so he looks white.)

Then also at church one of my younger brother's felt the need to loudly confess to the preacher as he was shaking hands with the congregation that our dad say Sh*t sometimes.

And my son told my best friend's kid that the doctor would have to take the baby out of my butt.....
