Spotting 5+4

It has been about 5 days and brown. I'm 5+4 and I have been told this is normal as long as it's not red and not filling a pad. Well I've not seen any red, but there is quite a bit of brown - like thick dark streaks every few hours. What is meant by "not filling a pad" - does this mean filling a pad every day? Filling a pad through the duration of spotting? I'm just a nervous because I've had a MC before so am super scared and overanalysing this time round. Thanks X
