Money not baby related

So i have a friend who i currently live with the problem is back in November before i moved in with her she ask to hold some money i said yeah and gave it to her the next month she came back for some more so i gave it to her she said she would make sure i got my money back needless to say i live with her now i only got half my money back i dont think i will ever get what she owns back am i wrong
