38w2d... Baby slowing down?

Question

Haven't really felt any kicks or crazy movement today and normally he's bouncing all around.  Is a sudden decrease in movement okay?  Should I be headed to the hospital to get checked out?

I'm 36wks and had a day where she didn't move as much as normal so I was told to go to L&D. They hooked me up and she was fine but the Dr ordered a biophysical profile ultrasound just to double check her. The ultrasound showed she was moving slower but was fine. The next morning she was all over the place again. Better safe than sorry to get checked out.

My doctor said that towards the end, the baby won't move as much because it's running out of room. They said to drink a COLD glass of water and lay down to wait for movement. If nothing, go in.

I am 38w 5d, my little girl has slowed down too, but normally after I eat or drink something she will move and beats me up with her kicks for a little while then She slows down again.

Do a kick count. I had to do that a a few days ago because I wasn't feeling my baby move. Drank some orange juice and got her moving! But definitely call you doctor or advice nurse

My movement has definitely slowed down and become less pronounced. My OB said it's because she's running out of room and sleeping the majority of the day. If I start to worry I will drink a 7up or something like that and she perks up!

I'm 37 weeks and had this yesterday. My girl was rather quiet. Felt kicks but not as many. Today she's moving all over. They r running out of room and they do sleep. They r humans. They have active and quiet days. It's normal.

I've noticed a sleep/wake pattern In movement with mine. Certain hours of the day he is more active then others. It's not so much about what I eat anymore that gets him moving rather then his own accord. I would jot down the times you feel your baby most active and then see if it is consistent over the next few days. If you haven't tried a sitting on a medicine ball, I'd recommend doing that and moving your hips in a circle. I use it when I can't feel him moving much and I also Recline back in our sofa, try that too.
