How long after birth does swelling stop?

My wedding ring broke (the diamond part fell out.😭) a few weeks ago. I haven't been too worried about it right now because my hands are too swollen to wear it anyways. 
How long after the baby is born does the swelling stop? Will I be back in my old ring size again?

Mine was normal when I got home 2 days after birth

It took about a week for me to be fully back to normal, on a hot day I take my ring off because there is a little swelling sometimes. 
My friend took a few weeks. Everyone is different
