Guessing gender by ovulation?

Question

So, I was looking up how long the egg is around after ovulation. And how long the sperm can live. I had sex 3 days before and 2 days after ovulation. I know when I ovulated. I tracked it. Felt ovulation pain. I know when it was.

So if the egg can only live 24 hours past O. 
And male sperms die off quicker than female. 
Then that would mean chances are very good it's a girl, right?

I had to have gotten pregnant the sex from 3 days before. Because 2 days after would've been too long. And from what I've read male sperm only last 24-48 hours.

Can you tell how much I'm chomping at the by to know? Lol.

Idk. I had sex 4 days before I ovulated and I'm having a boy, lol.

They've mostly disproven the male female sperm life span. But if you want to follow that then yes there's a chance for a girl lol. Good luck in waiting. I'm going batty myself waiting haha

Ha! You sound like me! I tracked my ovulation as well and always knew exactly when it was. I'm 22weeks pregnant now. I have to say- I ovulated and my husband was out of town. He returned 2 days later at which point we had sex. I figured why not try, even though I thought we were too late. Ta-da! Pregnant! We now know we are having a little boy. I've also researched about male sperm dying faster but that they are faster to reach the egg if it's ready. The egg was obviously still hanging on and we hit it just in time. So I wouldn't rule out your sex 2 days days after.
