I had been on a few different types of birth control pills for 4 years when I found out I had ovarian cysts. I only had a few but at the time I was in the military and the pain each month during my cycle would be so extreme that I would collapse and throw up and regularly had to go to the ER. I stopped my birth control and gradually the pain subsided to a point where it was hardly an issue anymore.  Everyone says BC is supposed to help with cysts but for some reason it did the opposite for me. I would like to start taking it again (off for 2 1/2 years) but I'm nervous it will make my cysts come back. Anybody experience this before and have any advice?
