Placenta previa???

Question

I had my 19wk ultra sound and the tech told me that my placenta is covering my cervix and I should be away from this area. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with this? I'm trying not to think about after I googled it 😒 but I can't help to worry and my next dr appt isn't till April 18th hopefully my dr will call me in a lil earlier to ease my mind.

I was also told I have placenta previa at my 19 week scan. Was told to be on pelvic rest and no strenuous activities. Told if I begin to bleed to go to ER, tell them what I have so they don't do an internal exam and call my doctor right away. They said that they are hoping the placenta moves up with the uterus growth over the next 10weeks. If it doesn't we will just do a c-section. Try not to worry, there's nothing you can do to change anything and majority of people told this early on have no problems and have the placenta move. Just be cautious of your activities for now.

I had the same thing. They said as long as my placenta stayed put that I couldn't deliver vaginally, but they brought me back in a few weeks and completed another ultrasound and it had moved enough to where I was able to deliver naturally. It can still move, but if not your main concern will be having to plan having a c-section versus natural delivery. My friend had a severe case and was put on bed rest for two weeks and then she was able to everything same as before and had a healthy boy via c-section. I think it's a good choice to stay away from Google right now, it tends to make things worse. Good luck and I hope all goes well!
