Cat question!!!

My cat is generally a very well behaved animal. He's a good boy. Anyway the past two weeks he will not stay off of the damn kitchen table! I spray him every single time. If I walk into the room HE KNOWS and will get off the table and run. Lol. I would just get over it but it really annoys my Papa and it is his house (I had to beg him to bring my cat when I moved in lol he hates cats.) anyways it's not that serious but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as keeping him off of the table? The water bottle works in the moment but two weeks of spraying him leads me to believe that he isn't going to stop lol
