Douching while pregnant??

Ok so I know douching not pregnant is a little iffy but I have recently checked myself on the inside and kinda dug out mucus I was so grossed out bc I feel that I need to be rinsed up in there and I was wondering if douching is ok? Bc if not it just products and then it just sits there... Yuck... What can I do??

Douching is terrible for your vagina when you're not pregnant, even worse when you are. It upsets your ph balance and can cause infection. The vagina is a self cleaning organ, you don't need to do anything to it except clean it externally with warm water. Discharge is normal anyway, but you tend to have it by the bucket load during pregnancy. Just leave it alone.

The mucus is there for a reason and when it over-accumulates, your body will get rid of it naturally as it needs to. I definitely wouldn't douche, changes the pH and you don't want to do that.

Really it's never ok to do pregnant or not talk to your doctor they can explain why it's not a good thing to do. Mucas in the vagina is normal. Your vagina naturally cleanses its self

Well, ever since I got pregnant I have discharge that my doctor says it's physiological and actually helps the baby because if forms a "clog" on the cervix keeping bacteria away from the uterus. It is gross because if I don't wear a pad it sticks to my panties. But it's normal and anyways I read we have more bacteria in our body than actual cells. So just check with you're doctor if your discharge is physiological or pathological . But don't douch

Take a nice warm bath maybe some baking soda and clean yourself out. Douching will upset that oh balance and it isn't good for you.
