When did or do you start buying baby stuff?

Sooo family members of mine are superstitious and said im jumping the gun and its bad luck upon myself ... (im a hypochondriac)soo now I'm woried...  am I? Its not my first baby but just over worried now I guess..... P.s. I'm 15weeks

I had a few things already before we even ft our positive, ha because if rather be over prepared than under prepared, then once we found out the gender (11 weeks) we started buying a bunch of clothes. We also have a consignment sale in our area 2X a year, so I bought him a lot of stuff there, since it was dirt cheap.

One family member scolded another for getting me a onesie for our first baby when I was three months along and said you should buy NOTHING for the baby until they're born. Needless to say, she's not a mom... I'm a superstitious person but I refuse to believe buying stuff for your baby will doom them. Come onnnnnn.

We bought a baby blanket right after we left our first ultrasound at 6 weeks. We had been working with a fertility specialist and were insanely excited to have it finally be "official."

Last pregnancy I waited till after 20 weeks due to having had a miscarriage previously and this one I'll do the same. I've got a fear of jinxing it, which is silly I know!

I'm 17 weeks I already bought major items like a crib. I did it now because I have the energy and didn't want to wait when I had a huge belly.

I'm 15 weeks and have bought a few things that have come up second hand cause we know we'll need them and I've just been made redundant so got them at my parents house in storage. We've got a pram travel system,  moses basket and stand, baby bath and steriliser. Just got couple of baby grows and muslins at our house we didn't buy anything til after first scan tho at 13 weeks

I bought a few onsies at wal-mart for 32 cents each after valentine's day. And some little golden books.

My mother in law however has alrwady made three baby quilts. Lol. We need a bigger place just for all the stuff she has bought.
