17 & having sex?!😨👅

I'm a junior in HS and my bf is a senior. Both virgins. We have been seriously dating for about a year and have a serious connection. Should we go through with having protected sex? I feel like everyone makes it into SUCH a huge deal. Is it really terrible to have sex when you're being mature about it and believe it's love genuinely both ways?

It shouldn't be up to all of us to tell you to have sex or not to. That's yours and your boyfriend's decision. If you're ready, do it. Don't just do it because everyone else is making a big deal out of it

Sex is great! But honestly, it's just sex. Lol. Like someone else said, you can only experience sex for the first time once! And that should never be hurried or regretted! And sadly enough it's hurried and regretted too ofen! I think young people, and our cutler puts so much pressure on each other to have sex! And that you're missing out if you're not "doing it" but honestly, I believe you're missing out if your are "doing it" the best sex is with in marriege in my opinion. And I know lots of people who would probably disagree.. My first time was on my wedding night. And I am so glad I waited! It made it so much more special and wonderful! To be able to share the first time with my husband. And i had friends who decided to keep that for there husband also and I had friends that decided to share that with a boyfriend or random guy they met at a party. And I will tell you.. That sharing the wonderful gift of sex with someone who doesn't love you, or someone who you're not going to spend the rest of your life with can be very devastating in the end. So much heart ach for a few minutes of temporary pleasure. It's just not worth it. 
Wait it out.. And save it! If you Guys truly love each other why not wait and give each other the Ultimate gift!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I have a very similar story to yours ^_^ I was a freshman when we started dating and he was a junior... 11 months in we had been talking about it and decided we wanted it to be with each other.... I had a very supportive mother who made sure I had a safe place to do it and was prepared with condoms and knowledge how to properly use it... first time may not be fireworks but it was still special because it was with him... I wouldn't change it for the world... because of my supportive mother we were sexually active for 5 years (just celebrated 6 years together <3) and in October decided to start TTC but before that conscious choice we never once had a pregnancy scare... if you are informed it is very possible to not get pregnant. I'm now 20 weeks pregnant with our first. :) just make sure you're  both ready. I can't stress that enough. If you've both waited this long, what more is a bit longer? We started with getting comfortable naked in front of each other and just touching and kissing and hand play until we felt we were ready.

Well. The way I see it is You only get to experience sex for the very first time once. If you choose to do it, I'd recommend taking time & thought to make it special & something you won't ever regret. I wish I hadn't been so hasty to lose it, that I lost it to a friend at a party at 18...only you & your boyfriend can make the call to move forward! Just be safe & smart :)
