Short or long torso?

How do you know if you have a short or long torso? I'm petite... so I just assume I have a short torso...

I'm 6' and thin for my height (just managed a 18.9 BMI within the last year despite eating perfectly healthy all my life and being considered underweight most of my life...) and have trouble fitting in the roller coaster harnesses cuz of my long torso (I have to scoot my bum forward to get my shoulders lower but then the latch doesn't come as close as it should because my lower half is scooted forward... it is a bothersome situation). I think most people have shorter torsos rather than longer torsos but I think most of it depends on your height and if most of your height is in your legs rather than your torso. My father in law in 6' 2" and has no problem with roller coasters because his height is more in his legs. Mine I think is 50/50 torso and legs...

During my first pregnancy I could easily hide my bump before it started getting more noticeable at about 22 weeks. I think it was due to the fact I have a long torso and there was room to move up before moving out.

Not sure if that helps... But that's my experience.

I believe it's the distance between your hip bone and bottom rib which tells you whether you have a short torso :)
