Can 16 weeks gender ultrasound, turn out to be wrong?

I just had a 16 week ultrasound and the tech confirmed it is a boy can it turn out to be wrong just wondering ?

Any opinion can always be wrong.... but girl look at that picture...that's a boy!  
I wanted a girl this time but I found out at 11 weeks it's a boy, a bit bummed at first but now I'm super happy he's healthy and on his way here

I had an ultrasound at 14weeks 5 days I was told a boy. I went to my new Dr's first appointment Friday and he did an ultrasound at 16 weeks 3 days and confirmed I am indeed having a boy! Your pic looks pretty convincing I'd say it's a boy!

It could be wrong. But generally speaking, more often than not when they are wrong, it's the opposite. They think it's a girl and turns out to be a boy. Usually if they say boy, it's definitely a boy.
