My daughter is now 6 weeks old. She has had a very loud high pitched cough for probably two weeks or so. At first it was only like once or twice after she would inhale milk while eating. But today she sounds very congested and coughing her high pitched coughs quite often.. I know she has a cold because I'm getting over one. I didn't think much of the cough at first... But now I'm getting concerned because infants aren't really supposed to cough let alone like this. What could be causing a this kind of cough? Its not phlegmy, wet, or coughing fit, just one or two very high pitched coughs. No other symptoms like fever or anything.. She seems to be breathing fine..
