Ok - I've not posted my own topic before but had to get community input on this. We live about 4 hours from both sets of parents. When I told my MIL my mom was throwing a shower MIL asked to throw her own shower. So I change weekends so both can be held in same weekend. A few weeks later she calls my mom to ask if she wants to do a joint shower. Well my mom is a nurse so she was working and when she wasn't, MIL was on vacation. So they finally got in touch today. Apparently MIL sent out her invites and acted like she had no idea what my mom was talking about. I have not received any information from MIL such as time or theme or anything and invites are already sent out. She apparently isn't interested in coming to my moms shower and isn't inviting my mom to her shower. Is this normal?? Not inviting my mom or involving me at all??
