I don't know what to say to my dad

There's a lot I could say on this subject , but to get to the just of it I want to transfer schools, move to California where my mom is, she's of course totally ok with it, I've been thinking about it since 8th grade, and I've finally made my decision, this is also my last chance to really do it, I'm going to be a junior next year, there's really no negative to me doing this, yes I wouldn't see my dad that much but that can't keep me from doing what I thinks best for me, so how do I bring this up to my dad, what all do I say to him..
