Brest pump help! Is the medela worth it?

Anyone have advice. Insurance covers $150 towards an electric pump for me

Medela is the top of the line under hospital grade pumps. If you will be pumping a lot it is TOTALLY worth the money.

Look up Aeroflow. They contact your insurance and dr (for rx). They handled everything for me very quickly and I had a new pump within a week!

You can get the Spectra S2 on Amazon for $125 or the S1 for a little more. They have better reviews than the Medela PIS - supposedly more efficient, quieter, and they are a closed system so easier cleaning. That's the one I plan to go with.

Sometimes you can find unused breast pumps on wallapop. Don't get the Evenflo...I have it and it sucks . It's super slow takes for ever to pump. The medela double breasted is the best

I have had my Medela for almost 9 years, and it works just as well as the first time I used it. I'm now on baby 4. I haven't had to replace the motor either. Worth every penny!  You may be able to find a good deal on a new Medela pump from a local children's consignment store.  Good luck and congratulations.

I have the medela pump-in-style advanced and it's worth it 100%. My insurance covered it completely though, which I am surprised yours doesn't? In the states it should. Perhaps try going through toys r us to do it. All that added stuff that comes with it (the purse, the cooler bag, exc won't come with it though). But, that's where all that extra cost comes in. When you do it through like toys-r-us they just send you the pump and pumping parts (and two bottle/containers) and I paid nothing! I did pick up the medela harmony (manual) on my own dime though in case of power outages or needing to pump with no access to an outlet. I got great use out of both! :)
