What will happen if i sleep on my back?

Question

I know it reduces blood flow because the vein bringing blood to the baby yadda, yadda, yadda...
But what will actually happen? Could my baby die? Would he be malnourished? Will he come out mentally retarded?
I can't find anything online that says what could actually happen, just... Don't do it.

I sleep any way I can. 35weeks. I drink coffee. I eat sandwhiches. I take baths too lol. There's a lot of rules to pregnancy... you just gotta do what you feel ok doing.

I start on my left side end up sleeping which ever way that's comfortable alot of time I have to keep adjusting myself because my daughter is on that side.

I see it as sleep how you sleep as honestly sleep deprivation is a worse option.

I know when I was very pregnant with my first if I laid on my back too long I would get light headed and nauseous from the baby pressing on the inferior vena cava

Same with laying on the right side. Which I find the most comfortable to sleep. No reasons why it shouldn't be done. Just that we can't do it.
