Gender at 13 weeks?

Question

I will be 13 weeks 2 days tomorrow and have my first U/S. Is there any chance that they will be able to tell me the sex of the baby?

Supposedly the male or female part isn't completely formed until 16 weeks.. So they reccomend 20 week ultrasound for accurate results..

I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks, and the tech asked if I wanted to know the sex if she was able to clearly tell. I said no, because my husband was not able to attend and I didn't want to find out without him. Well.. Just watching her do the ultrasound I couldn't help but point out that I was clearly having a boy with the leg shot that was on the screen. She laughed and said that she can't guarantee, but it definitely looks to be a boy. I am now 34weeks 6days with my son.

I had an ultrasound at 13 weeks but they told me it was too early to tell the gender. She told me at that point they look too similar to know for sure so it's more of a guess.

They should have already told you!! My doctor is telling us at 9 weeks!!

They can't tell that early. Every Dr that I've heard of does it after 16 or 18 weeks unless you get the blood work done to find out.
