No my bloods were always normal so I never needed to. It's not routine in Ireland unless your bloods are abnormal

I didn't,  I am refusing most of the normal tests. I'm healthy and young with one don who's healthy. All the testing it's just too much stress. Unless you're at risk or high risk. We blindly follow too much.

If you dont. You're possibly putting you and your baby at risk.. Why would you not want to know do you have gestational diabetes?

I am refusing to take it though my midwife checks my urine and would find a test that would be comparable as I absolutely cannot tolerate anything over 11g of sugar in a serving due to wls. I'd end up with dumping, a headache and tummy ache worse than that of a hangover, and would be ill for days.

Taking the test itself is worth it. There are several healthier/more natural alternatives to the "orange drink" though!

The drink is not going to harm baby if there was any way it could they would not make it a test that is required for all pregnant women it's safe not necessarily healthy because all the sugar intake but it's for sure safe your best bet is to take it because if you end up with GD and don't know about it then it can be way more harmful than the test

Not woth this one bc i was dignosed diabetic beforr the pregnancy. But with my other three i did i thibk the doctors see the benefitd out weight the risk or they wouldnt have u do it.

I always have the test done. I am a healthy woman but Because of genetics I am still technically "over weight" so I take the test just incase. I always pass with flying colors (140 or lower is passing I got an 80 lol) but the way I see it is it's better to be safe than sorry. As much as I HATE that damn drink it's worth it. Plus I always wind up throwing it up after the test anyway 😂 my body hates it as much as I do LOL
