When did everyone tell their employer?

Question

Just wondering when everyone told their employer they were pregnant. I'm 5 and half weeks gone, and am off work this week on holiday, but was thinking about telling work either next week when I am back, or just before my first midwife appointment on 26th April. What does everyone think?

My boss was the first one to know, even before I took a pregnancy test. He came over to my desk and for whatever reason, his scent was absolutely repulsive. I threw up in my trash can right then and there and then said, "oh my gosh I think I'm pregnant" 😂

I still haven't and I'm over 18 weeks. I told after the first trimester with my first because I had ladies at work that I was really friendly with. This time I don't have many social connections at work so I'm keeping it to myself. Technically I only have to give 1 month written notice before my leave. I'm sure I'll tell people before then but I have no plans any time soon.

I went ahead and told my boss last week. I'll be due around 11/9 so I'll be taking off the whole month of Nov and maybe a little bit in dec. I wanted to give them as much of a heads up as possible cause that's a crazy time around the holidays...

I told my supervisor the day after I found out, right around 6 weeks but she kind of suspected when I randomly got sick at work...and I was incredibly sick the first few weeks so I was in and out of work

I worked with family so I told them right away and I had a slight complication at the beginning and took time off.

I think it depends on your relationship with your boss. Typically ppl wait until after the first trimester. But if you are close with your boss and feel he won't say anything to anyone before you're ready then go for it

I found out I was pregnant at 6 weeks, I'm now 7 and 5 days and had to tell my employer as soon as I found out because I had to be put on light duty due to my previous miscarriages. I honestly want to take a couple months just to be safe but She's a stickler for taking time off but I'm hoping she's going to open to all the doctor appointments I will have since I'm being watched closely. Be honest and explain your concerns about anything you do at work currently!

I found out the day I got my job. I was 6weeks pregnant and my manager was very nice about it. She asked me if I still wanted my job and I said yes and she was okay with it. I'm 2months pp and back to work. Some bosses are nice about it and some can be really rude. But tell when your ready I wouldn't hide it from them for a long time. Good luck

I told my boss the week I found out. I wanted them to know that if something happened I may need some time off. They were super happy and supportive of me!
