Mil gave 4 week old Advil, ok?

Question

She was watching him for me & he's been pretty fussy so she gave him Advil. I saw the box & it's labeled to give to a 6 month old. Is it okay she gave to a 4 week old ? Is it bad ?
What do I do? I'm so scared 😫ftm mom. She says its fine because it's a small dosage.

Id call the doctor just incase... Then tell MIL thr fuck off in not dosing your kid if she doesnt know whats going on... Did baby need pain meds?  Advil is mostly a fever reducer and pain reliever.. But i would stick with a safer option.. That would be infuriating...

If it's meant for a 6 month old, no, it's probably not okay for a 4 week old to have taken it. 🙄

Im a pediatric np. No worries about the one dose just don't give any more (which you obv aren't). But in the future just have a bottle of Tylenol with the dosage written out on it so no more confusion :)

Definitely bad. A newborn shouldn't be getting anything like that except a small does of Tylenol IF that. I would suggest talking to a doctor in case it causes any problems for your baby

I don't think that's good at all. If you give something like that to a cat it may die imagine what it could do to a baby
