Weight loss in pregnancy?

Chelsea💜 • Baby number One & Super excited!! September 23rd!!!
So yesterday was my second appointment and I lost 5lbs in 4 weeks. Not nauseous or anything. Just more of a food aversion from everything. Especially meat. I only eat when I get hungry maybe twice a day but I just don't feel hungry, and I snack healthy with peanuts or cucumber but I guess that's not enough. Lol What can I eat to make sure I get enough nutrition and try to have a balanced diet that's NOT meat. It's crazy because I'm not even a vegetarian.

At my second appointment 2 weeks ago (I was 16 weeks then) I had also been down by 4 or 5 lbs I believe. The doctor didn't seem too concerned, but I'm making it a personal goal to at least put on 2.5 lbs for my next visit that's in 2 weeks and so far the progress isn't going so well cause I'm still at the same weight 😒 I've heard though that when you get into your 3rd trimester that you'll literally start gaining and gaining and gaining lol so as long as your doctor isn't concerned then I wouldn't be either!

Okay thank you! She wasn't too concerned as long as I'm not losing anymore. It's just I don't want any foods that I normally eat. Usually I can put down a LOT of chicken and beef and pork with no problem but this pregnancy just doesn't agree with it. Lol I've mostly been eating salads and such

I'm 16+4 and had my most recent appointment 2 weeks ago. By that appointment I had lost 15+ pounds compared the beginning of my pregnancy! It was much the same for me... Aversions to EVERYTHING from 6 weeks-14 weeks, constant nausea until week 15, but now starting to ease up a lot. My doctor didn't sound at all concerned, and just said that as long as I'm taking my vitamins most of the time and at least attempting to eat well, babies are very effective parasites and they will take what they need. Weight loss far into the 2nd trimester wouldn't be good, but as long as you didn't start out your pregnancy underweight and your doctor doesn't seem concerned, you should be just fine :)
