Why? 😒

I see on here everyday when women are 18-25w pregnant, who just found of the sex of their baby, asking "I'm not too sure it's a 'girl'", with a pic of the scan.  Really? If the US tech says it's a boy/girl, especially being around 18w-25w pregnant, the chances of them being wrong is slim to none. You really think women on here are going to know any more than a professional?

I think the margin of error due to human mistake is greater than we think, even with a trained u/s tech's eye. And I think women on here ask just to get an opinion, not necessarily medical expertise.

My mom was told I was going to be a boy by her Dr and I came out a girl. Ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate at all, the only thing that's 100% accurate is genetic testing which checks the babies DNA.

I've only seen the ultrasound tech be wrong one time that was with my mom's friend and she had a boy instead of a girl and had to take all her stuff back I felt bad for her but other than that it doesn't annoy me but it makes it very hard to stay on glow with every single comment that on my time line is can you tell boy or girl? I'll be so happy when most of the women on my timelines pass like 20 some weeks so we can talk about something other than is this a boy or a girl

Well ultrasounds are only 85% accurate and can definitely be wrong.  I know personally two people who were told they were having girls and ended up having boys.  Only 99.9% accurate test is the genetic testing.

That's not true. My sister was told she was having a girl at her 20 week scan then a month before baby was born she went for another scan and found out it was a boy! She had to change the nursery get all new clothes everything!

Yes, ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate. I have two friends who thought they were having boys & ended up with girls. Their nurseries were done, name were picked out & had their baby showers. I've had dreams I'm having a boy & on my last ultrasound they couldn't see my baby because she was moving so much.
