Ultrasound?

Has anybody else not received an ultrasound yet..? I will be 15 weeks tomorrow I'm due September 29th and my doctor will not give me an ultrasound. They tried to blame it on insurance but I called and my insurance does cover them. It is starting to drive me insane!

I'm due the same day :) I haven't had one yet either. My hospital gives then at 20 weeks and that's it. If you want the genetic testing done you get one around 12 ish weeks and at 20.

I've had two already and I'm also 15 weeks. One to confirm pregnancy and the second was my NT scan

I haven't had one yet because I declined the dating scan - we're sure of our dates. I'm 18-1/2 weeks now, having the anatomy scan in two weeks!

Yeah I would definitely get a new doctor. You should have had at least a dating scan by now

With my daughter I wasn't due to receive any scans until 20 weeks, but we got an early one at 12 weeks because they couldn't hear the heartbeat.. then I paid for an elective ultrasound at 16 weeks. That was at a military hospital in North carolina. We have since moved to new jersey, and the OB I have now does a dating scan at 8 weeks, then at 12 weeks we do blood work (well at 10 weeks the blood work is done) it's to check for trisomy, down syndrome and something else but I can't remember at the moment..

I'm paying for an elective Scan this week at 15 weeks.. I'm due September 30th. I won't have another scan with my OB until 20 weeks, for the anatomy scan.

I think it just depends on the doctor you have because my husband is military and we still have the same insurance and such. The only difference is the doctor.

My doctors office does one at 12 weeks (if you want to do the screening for downs syndrome) and then 20 weeks for gender. I had one done a little over 7 weeks at a radiology office because I asked my doctor for it (just for peace of mind) and then we went and did an elective one at 14 weeks to find out gender early..if you've asked for one there's no reason why they shouldn't send you for one, even if their office doesn't do it they can give you a script to go somewhere else
