Can support belt hurt baby?

I'm 18 weeks and having a lot of round ligament pain as well as what feels like sciatica down my right leg. I just bought the Ultimate Maternity Support Belt from Motherhood Maternity. It's great support when I stand but when sitting I feel like it pushed my belly up. Would this or wearing the maternity support belt too tight hurt my baby?

It won't hurt your baby but make sure you're not wearing it all the time. You need your muscles to stay strong and if they're never working, they'll weaken. Only use the band when you really need it.

There's almost nothing you can do to hurt your baby from the outside aside from meds/drugs. The bands are designed to be safe for you AND baby. There's more than enough space and cushion for baby to move around as your tummy position changes with the band.
