Did you decide against a nursery?

Question

We aren't having one because we have a two bedroom place. We are keeping it as a guest room for visitors and having him in our room. I'm due May 20th and our lease is up at the end of August anyway so we think it's pointless. Some people and family think it's selfish. Anyone else decide not to have a nursery? If not, why?

My baby has a nursery and it is never used. The only time we walk in there is to grab clothes out of the drawer or diapers/wipes. He sleeps in a pack n play next to our bed. Honestly until they are older I think a nursery is pointless

A newborn doesn't require a whole lot of room.  The baby will be fine in your room for the first several months.  Nothing selfish about it.

I have two kids and one on the way. Honestly our kids slept in a play hard next to our bed for the first year and that's also where we kept diapers and stuff. You could get some storage drawers for baby's things and put them in your closet. They had a nursery bc we had the room but we never used it! This is my third pregnancy and I'm waiting to buy another crib, etc until about 10 months old.

33w with #4 and the only one I ever had a nursery for was #1 and I never used it! Much easier for baby to be in the same room with you in my experience. Not to mention, in my case my 3 older children take up the 2 extra bedrooms in my house. Don't feel selfish for not having a nursery...it's what works best for the parents and their home that matters. 😊

We have three bedrooms but still won't make a nursery. 
Baby will sleep next to our bed, I think thats way more practical, especially in the beginning. 
We emptied the room that'll be her room though, so it's ready whenever we'll need it.

I opted out of a nursery and share a room with her. That way I can keep an eye on her, when she is old enough, then she will have her own.

Baby will be in my room. What's he going to do with his own room as a newborn anyway? I'd be in there hourly trying to check on him. Better for him to be nearby for me.

Although each of our kids have had their own nursery, my 1st slept in my bed ubtil he was 2. My 2nd is still in my bed at 20 months, and our 3rd is due in July and assume she will be in our bed forever since it's our last hahaha. Def not selfish, don't let them bother u.

I put together a nursery and now don't use it. Baby sleeps in our room, as recommended by the American pediatric Assoc for the first 6 months. As long as baby has what it needs its not selfish.

They will be in your room anyways. Its a luxury that not all of us have and thays ok! :)
