Your vagina is meant to push a child out of, it doesn't get damaged. Needs some recovery, but almost all go back to normal within months. Don't base a child birth decision on "saving your vagina".

😂 I had my daughter vaginally, and unmedicated.  I tored, yes. But she's almost two now and my vagina looks completely normal. Feels normal, sex life is normal etc, nothing has changed.There are pros and cons to everything involved with child birth..

Vaginal birth doesn't mean you'll tear, some women dont. And I only tore because my contractions stopped completely and I pushed to much/hard after that..

C sections require them to cut into you, and if I'm not mistaken you have a longer recovery (but c section mommas are welcome to correct me if I'm wrong) I'm not sure what other risks come with c sections.

And I don't know much about a water birth. But it's still a vaginal birth.

I'm not sure what "damage" you're referring to.

Vaginal birth - when safe to go with - doesn't damage your body nearly as bad as a C-section.

C-sections are MAJOR surgeries and impact your core muscles (so basically, sitting up and any movement requiring use of your core? you're going to hurt for a while).

Vaginal tearing heals much easier and everything goes back to normal after birth. This has genuinely not crossed my mind and I am 32 weeks... I would never electively have a C-section because my vagina is gonna stretch to deliver a baby.

I think a natural or water birth would be best and most safe for you and baby. Unfortunately I ended up having a c-section and I have to have a c-section again, with my first born I couldn't breath on my own and they had to breath for me. So c-sections are scary..I would rather my vagina get a little ugly.

Hon, don't worry about the judgement. I think this is important too. A water birth can reduce tearing but it's not guaranteed. I'm planning a water birth and also hoping to use counter pressure to keep everything in tact during pushing. Going slowly during pushing and not bearing down too hard helps prevent tearing as well. This may sound crazy but kissing and nipple stimulation can prevent tearing as well, look up Ina may gaskin videos (or read her books) and she explains that if you can increase oxitocin and blood flow to your vagina than it helps prevent damage. Of course this isn't for everyone! 
Of course c section would have the least damage but it is a major surgery that has more risks than benifits unless it's a life saving emergency for you or baby.
