What to do....

So my husband and I have chosen to name our baby Genevieve, if it's a girl, after my grandmother's middle name. I wanted to check spell so I asked her for it. Come to find out that her mother spelled it "wrong" on the birth certificate. It is spelled Geneveive not the traditional Genevieve. The i and third e were switched. Now that isn't so bad but to go one step further on her driver's license it is spelled completely wrong as Geneive.

Part of me just wants to spell the name traditionally as Genevieve, but what would you do if it was you?

I'd spell it correctly. There's no need to repeat past mistakes from people who were careless. It doesn't affect how the name is pronounced so I'd do it right. Love the name, by the way.
