How long can this last ?

Ok so i went to L&D today because i was having BH every 3 mins and some were painful some werent. So they monitored me and im having contractions every 10 mins for almost 50 secs. Well because i didnt progress the hour i was there so they sent me home to basically wait and see if they pick up ? My question is is this still early labor and can this go on for days ? Ive been in early labor for 3 weeks now and im exhausted. Lol i just want my little guy here.
