For women that have had children already r u getting a episiotomy? I tore last time without it. Wondering if it's worth getting?

When I was pushing my first child out, my midwife said she thought that I should have one. I said NO. I would rather tear. The only reason they cut you is because it's easier to stitch than a tear. A tear heals faster. I had a 10 pound 7.4 ounce baby and only had a tiny tear that didn't require a stitch.

Episiotomies are extremely outdated. I would recommend letting your body do it's own thing. The healing will be easier and most likely much less complicated.

With my 1st I tore badly and had an episiotomy, with my second I only had a small episiotomy. I am hoping for nothing this time but if needed hope they will do an episiotomy. For me that healed much faster than the tear.  I figure my dr is the trained professional and will know what is best.

They cut me with my first. This time if the doctor thinks I'll need another one I'll let him.

Cut? I hope not. I don't do epidurals so I'd be able to feel a cut. Ahhh. My first birth I didn't tear at all, I didn't neex any stitches. Baby was 20 1/2 inches and 7lb11oz
