Question

I bleached my hair yesterday and i didnt leave the bleach in for very long and it went from dark brown to light brown then i used a color dye i wanted but the end product was not the color i wanted. I want my hair to be blonde. Now its just a light brown. Should I bleach it and leave the bleach in longer then use the color dye i want?

Im bot a cosmetologist but if you bleach over bleach again and again it will end up falling out and be so fried.. It happened to me after 4 times (i bleached it every 5-6 months, not the next day or anything) and it all fell out and from this day STILL my hair is fried in the section i bleached, and its not even grown back to my normal legnth yet.. No matter how many times i trim the ends and use treatments its all, 3 years later its still dead. I suggest not to bleach it yourself unless you are professionally trained, cause you never know .. I experienced it from myself and i learned my lesson.

The amount of times I've bleached my hair is unreal. It's not recommend but I bleach my hair 4 times in one go. My hair isn't 'fried' and it hasn't fallen out. You just gotta look after it :) If it isn't the colour you want right now, bleach it again ( if it's light brown it should be easy and only take one more bleach). Good luck and PLEASE look after your hair, specially after bleaching ! Lots of conditioner

I bleach my hair all the time. I am a hair dresser, you would have to buy a much stronger bleach, so that it actually makes your hair go blonde. You might have to bleach it twice, maybe three times if your hair is really dark! But I'd wack a load of conditioner on it afterwards and sleep in it for the night, and rinse off in the morning as it protects your hair from constantly breaking due to the bleach x

Your mistake was putting dye on hair that was not light enough. And never use those box dye blonde colors, they could turn your hair green if your bleached hair has brassiness(Orange) in it. 
Give your hair a break and deep condition it or use a coconut oil hair mask. Then if you choose to bleach it again, make sure it is a light yellow color. Once it's light yellow, you can use a toner on it to get rid of the yellow tones.

Make sure the bleach you're using isn't box bleach. Get a powder bleach and developer from Sally Beauty or something similar. Since you've already used bleach, next time use a 20 or 30 delevoper, then only 20 or 10 the next time if needed depending on how much more you need to lighten
