I need another opinion

I started dating this guy at school. He promised to love me and never leave blah blah blah. I told him I was a virgin and I was ready to lose it but I wanted to wait till I knew we would be a for sure thing. One weekend I went to his house and I ended up agreeing to have sex with him. Right after he told me he loved me. The next day he said we need to talk.... He said he didn't want to be in a relationship. He said he wasn't with me just to get in my pants. He said he still cares but not even a week later he is back with his ex. As soon as he broke up with her he came back to me not wanting a relationship but just to be friends because he missed me. But he started rumors about me being a slut and sleeping around with people but he is the only one I've ever been with. What I am wondering is did I get played ????
