Narrow cervix

Good morning beautiful ladies, I need help if anyone else this problem before, please give me your opinion.

Here's my story, hubby and I have been tc for 8years and we just now able to afford ivf, injections will start in may 15. I went in this morning for my saline sonogram but I wasn't able to do it cause my cervix was to narrow, now the dr want me to do a minor surgery to open it up a little. Did any body in here ever heard of such thing or go through it, please let me know. I'm new to all this anf feel like every time we go to the doctor there's more stuff do to and keeps spending more money. Sorry for the long post.
