I started birth control a month ago, so I am just now getting my period (which is not later than normal). But I noticed that instead of the normal red blood color, it is an almost blck color, and it is waaay thicker than normal. Is this a normal side effect of birth control, or do I need to contact my doctor. I take sprintec, and I tried reading the side effect list but didn't see anything about this.
