Low AMH and IUI/IVF success?

Hi ladies. Quick introduction - I've just turned 31 and in September 2015 I was diagnosed with low AMH of 0.5. While preparing for our first IUI we conceived naturally earlier this year, but sadly miscarried recently. Our situation is complicated because DH works abroad 6 weeks at a time, and I'm very overweight. I'm wondering whether it's worth waiting a few months to lose weight and get fitter before attempting IUI (dr has recommended 2 or 3 rounds before moving onto IVF). If any of you lovely ladies have advice/tips/experience to share with me please share! I am so new at all this and would appreciate all the help I can get.

I had a AMH 0.42. My doctor told me ivf would be my best bet so I never tried iui. If you decide to take some time to get weight off talk to your RE about starting dhea and coq10 in the mean time since it needs a few month to work on improving egg quality. I wish you luck!!

I have same AMH as you. I have managed to conceive with IUI... but unfortunately MCed every time (4 MCs from IUI and one more from natural conception )... I tried IVF and ended up with only one embryo and BFN. I am back to IUI now bc it is much easier to handle and IVF does not seem to be the best option for me.
Maybe you should start with IUI and see how it goes. It would also give you time to lose weight as all the meds definitely make most women gain a few kilos...

It's up to you ultimately. I'm on my third round of ivf and I'm putting on weight. It's bound to happen with the drugs they put you on so maybe loosing weight would be good if you are very overweight.
