Eye issues

Dd was born 8/9/15 and has always had issues with her right eye (clogged tear duct, infection, etc.). We we're finally able to see an ophthalmologist after months of waiting and found out she has a congenital cataract. I've always mentioned that I felt her eye wasn't ok and was treated like that "crazy" FTM who took her in to the pedi's office and I was always told nothing was wrong. Ophthalmologist now says if he knew it was so urgent they wouldn't have made us wait 4 months to be seen. Has anyone had experience with eye issues or eye surgery with the LO? What sort of treatment was used to remedy the issue?
