I've tried three different types of oral birth control, all of which have made me very ill, gain a ton of weight, and it's just not worth it for me anymore. I've decided to think about other birth control options and I've come down to the patch and getting an IUD. I am currently sexually active and am looking for Something to prevent pregnancy but also help my awful periods. I'm not sure which one to choose and I'm reluctant to choose the patch for fear of the same side effects from the pill. Opinions???
