Prob a stupid question

Ok I'm supposed to be ovulating today, but the thing is I'm cramping like period cramps, it's obviously to early for my period tho, so my question is has anyone cramped on ovulation? I've been ttc for 7-8 months now and I know it's to early for preg symptoms.. So I don't know what else it could be as you can tell I've been tryin to cover basis hoping and praying this will be my month, mine and my hubbys birthday is this month would be a great present for both of us if I get a BFP later this month!
